Day Trip to Osian Desert near Jodhpur

After an eventful day in Jodhpur, you must take a day trip to Osian. On arrival we recommends you to take 45 minutes to visit incredible temple sights, and then short cross-country drive to the desert camp, the camp has a lot of things to offer in addition to overnight stay in tents with the rural and royal touch.
This is a half day tour with camel safari conducted in the serenity surrounding the Osian camp with a local camel guide who will lead you to the Thar desert near the campsite.
There are two different time slots you can choose from: Afternoon safari or Sunset-evening safari, both of them have different inclusions as well.

After meeting your driver at the hotel in Jodhpur around 10:30 am for the afternoon safari or around 03:00 pm for the sunset/evening desert safari, leave for Osian. It will take almost 1 hour 20 minutes (71km) to reach the Osian. Enjoy a welcome drink before the camel takes you through the sand dunes, village, fields and the other major scenery near the campsite. Return to the camp by 02:30 pm if you are taking the afternoon safari, and by 06:00 pm if you are choosing the sunset-evening safari.

Savour a delicious lunch or dinner at the camp or at local village home and stroll around the location for more time. Enjoy a live folk music dance with a private fire bucket that keeps you warm. Start the return journey from Osian Camp by 03:00 pm or by 08:30 pm and arrive at Jodhpur by 04:30 pm or 10:00 pm.

There are two variants available:
(1) With Transport and (2) Without Transport

Bird watchers found an interesting variety of bird species in this part of Osian desert. Bird life including green bee-eater, grey shrike, spotted owlet, partridge and of course dancing peacock in the wild. So we says welcome to Our Living Desert!
